Ammaia Club de Golf - also known as the Clube de Golfe do Marvão
This course lies in the valley directly below the famous medieval village of Marvão. The area is part of a natural park reserve named "Serra de São Mamede" and lies on the border between Portugal and Spain.
The course has undulating greens, several bunkers and four lakes.
In 1999 "Europeen Golf" Magazine classified Ammaia Club de Golf the 7th most beautiful Golf Course in Portugal. The Portuguese Golf Federation distinguished Ammaia as "Golf Course of the Year" in 2000.
(Marvão is a municipality with a total population of around 4.000 inhabitants.)
