Bombarral is a town in the western Portugal, located in the Centro region. It is also the seat of the municipality of Bombarral. The town is situated in an area of fertile soils. The economy in this area is based on agriculture; mainly orchards and vineyards. The famous and appreciated Bombarral wine is produced here.
There are several pre-historical remnants in the area as well as many Manor Houses from the agricultural producers. The town itself has some lovely architectonic heritages. One interesting building is the Train station with glazed tiles panels with the scenes of local wine production. |
