Amadora is a city and a municipality in west Portugal. Amadora is a satellite city of Lisbon, and one of the smallest Portuguese municipalities - only 24 km² - but also one of the most populous.
The city is one of the largest in Portugal, by population. It shares the same subway, bus and train network with Lisbon. It is also a major residential suburb of the capital, and the landscape is dominated by large apartment blocks and some industry.
